Book Alert: The House Where Nobody Lived

The High Street wizards are coming back to you! Today!

After a three-year hiatus, Brad Strickland returns as author of the newest spooky adventure of John Bellairs's Lewis Barnavelt and Rose Rita Pottinger. The House Where Nobody Lived is the eleventh book in the long-running and popular Barnavelt series, centering on the strange Hawaii House of New Zebedee, Michigan.

Welcome back, Lewis - and a tip of the hat to Brad, too!

Okay, I got my copy of "The House Where Nobody Lived" today from Amazon, and I can't wait to read it!!!! Yeah! Thanks Brad!

My only complaints/concerns are directed at Dial books. The cover art is very poor compared to the last to releases. I assume it will be identical to the paperback. Ugh! Also, the paper quality is TERRIBLE. It's like paperback quality bound into hardcover. The boards are also disappointing. Gone are the nice quaterbound cloth covers of the 1980s and early 90s I guess...

Still, can't wait to read it and hope there are more in the works!

I have started reading "The House Where Nobody Lived" and am really enjoying it so far.

I am disappointed in the cover art and paper quality though. I wonder if future Bellairs/Strickland books will even be published in hardcover :(

Agreed. I enjoyed the writing and story, but the quality of the art and binding are poor. The paper is rough, and the cover art is more suited to a paperback version.

Also, the hat Lewis is wearing is more suited to Anthony Monday. He's also wearing glasses.
