Upon Thee in Holiday Foolery

Brooks Memorial Fountain
For those wanting a Bellairsian-related holiday season, why not take some trips to the Midwest?

Marshall's annual Christmas Parade is in its 38th year and less than a month away. This year's event takes places December 2 at 7:00 P.M. It will start at the Brooks Memorial Fountain and end at Carver Park. And then December 7 and 8, it's the Marshall Christmas Candlelight Walk, a great way to take in some great Midwestern architecture, winter weather and get your exercise all in one night. At each home visitors will receive a tour of the homes by the owners and their friends and family. This is a unique opportunity for the visitor to see some of Marshall's finest homes all decorated for the holidays!

The Mount Carroll Christmas Walk and Holiday Tour of Homes takes place Saturday November 30. Events include Christmas carolers and Dickens characters strolling through downtown and live animation in downtown store fronts and is sponsored by the Mount Carroll Chamber of Commerce.

Winona, Minnesota, has a Christmas House Tour sponsored by the Winona County Historical Society on December 1, from 3 to 8 PM.

And on Christmas Eve you are invited to a spectacular soiree in the South Kingdom at the resident of Prospero where a mirror will fall asleep and...wait. Never mind.

Those interested in these events should contact the respective organizers about specific information and to make reservations, if required.
