A Dream and Fruitless Vision

Here’s something we though somewhat appropriate for today, the supposed end of analog television here in the United States. On February 17, 1958, Pope Pius XII declared Saint Clare of Assisi (1193-1253) the patron saint of television.
Why, you’re no doubt asking (much as we were)? The pope made his decision:
...on the basis that when she was too ill to attend Mass, she had reportedly been able to see and hear it on the wall of her room.
John surely would have gotten a kick out of this, what with his familiarity with certain saints.
