2018 Kicks Off with #JohnBellairsMonth, 'Pedant' Celebration

Happy 2018!

Right out of the gate, January is Richard Denney‏’s #JohnBellairsMonth in which he and other fans will read The House with a Clock in its Walls (he’s done this month-thing before, too, so he’s no novice).  If you want some discussion topics or need some past reviews we've got you covered.

It’s a good book to celebrate and a good month to celebrate, too, as the 17th would have been John’s 80th birthday.

This then means that on John’s 30th birthday, 50 years ago, he was preparing for the publication of his second book, The Pedant and the Shuffly. We’ll have a few celebrations on that in February.

And speaking of birthdays, Anthony Monday and The Treasure of Alpheus Winterborn turn 40 this year, too. Watch out when you cross Eagle Eye’s yard if you attend our party later.

And of course the biggest party comes this fall: September 21 is the scheduled release of the long-awaited, major motion picture adaptation of The House with a Clock in its Walls. No word on who will play Hammerhandle...yet.

So stick around - maybe we'll make it a #JohnBellairsYear, too.

Hooray for us.
