Book Alert: Puffin Reprints

Books News
Puffin is re-releasing ten titles by John Bellairs and Brad Strickland in August. While the cover art is identical to previous paperback releases (done by Bart Goldman, Brett Helquist, Paul Zelinsky, and even Edward Gorey), the books all share a new, uniform style. Titles include the classics (and some surprises):
  • The Curse of the Blue Figurine
  • The Drum, the Doll, and the Zombie
  • The Figure in the Shadows
  • The House with a Clock in Its Walls
  • The Letter, the Witch, and the Ring
  • The Mansion in the Mist
  • The Mummy, the Will, and the Crypt
  • The Specter from the Magician's Museum
  • The Spell of the Sorcerer's Skull
  • The Trolley to Yesterday

The apparent press release:

"John Bellairs, the name in Gothic mysteries for middle graders, wrote terrifying tales full of adventure, attitude, and alarm. For years, young readers have crept, crawled, and gone bump in the night with the unlikely heroes of these Gothic novels: Lewis Barnavelt, Johnny Dixon, and Anthony Monday. Now, the ten top-selling titles feature an updated cover look. Loyal fans and enticed newcomers will love the series even more with this haunting new look!"

Not sure how haunting the "look" really is, but the books are in print....
