A drive around a circular fountain, a walk past a horse tied up on the street and the classic small-town feel are the hallmarks of downtown Marshall.
The signs into town proclaim the place to be the “City of Hospitality.” That could mean a lot of things to a lot of people, but one place that lives up to it is Roma’s Corner Cafe at 228 W. Michigan Ave.
Jenn Parker said the old architecture of the town, prominently featured in events such as the annual Historic Home Tour in September and the occasional Forgotten Spaces Tour that features downtown’s lost rooms and buildings, is beautiful. She wouldn’t mind a little bit more landscaping, though.
