What year is this?

Did you ever decide to take a walk and head off in a direction you’d never been before, wander past places you’ve never seen, and have no destination in mind, much less a schedule for returning to your starting point?  Have you ever opened a book so many times every time you notice its cover the characters and scenes play out instantaneously in your head in mere seconds?

Did you ever take an extended vacation and return home to find the power out and musty-smelling milk, cobweb-covered flowers, and technology blinking twelve?  Did you ever start off watching something on television with optimism only to get half way through and find yourself disappointed and disinterested?

Remember when you tied your shoe so tightly the sock left an imprint on your ankle for what seemed like hours?
