Review: Weatherend "Suspense Builds Up Well To A Satisfying Ending"

Book review: The Dark Secret of Weatherend

Fourteen-year-old Anthony Monday and Miss Eells, a librarian, discover the old diary of J. K. Borkman, a dead eccentric millionaire, when they trespass on his estate, Weatherend, Borkman was interested in weather and his diary reveals his goal of using weather to cleanse the world of present life. At first they think it is nonsense. However, after they meet Borkman's sinister son and strange violent weather occurs, they realize that it is up to them to save the world.

Anthony and Miss Eells, previously appearing in The Treasure of Alpheus Winterborn, are delightful characters. There is good use of humor, especially Miss Eells' clumsiness. The suspense builds up well to a satisfying ending.
