Something About Another Fan of 'Face’

Where was Bellairs going with it?

So what have you been up to?

Daryl, one of the librarians at the West Valley Regional Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, recently interviewed (Sept. 30) New York Times best-selling author Simon R. Green about books, writing, and inspirations.  Such as when Green is asked to name his top five favorite or most influential authors, he cites:
Stephen King, Avram Davidson, Howard Waldrop, Leslie Charteris; the Saint books, and Thorne Smith; a writer of humorous fantasies who seems largely forgotten these days. But there’s no-one funnier. But… My all time favorite book is John Bellairs; The Face In The Frost. Funny, scary, wildly imaginative.
Green later notes Face as a “book you would most want to read again for the first time”, particularly for “the sheer joy of reading it and thinking… where the hell is he going with this?”

Probably not the first person to ask this.
