Book review: The Revenge of the Wizard's Ghost
This book is an excellent display of Mr. Bellairs talent as a Gothic mystery writer. In this one he combines Exorcist-like themes with a traditional Bellairs mystery. While Johnny lies near death, possessed by evil Warren Windrow, Professor Childermass and Fergie race for clues in an effort to try and prevent their friend's death.
It is well-written, and is a pleasant change-up from the constant examination of John's mind; for once we begin to learn more about Fergie and the Professor, as they take center stage in this helter-skelter adventure. This is a must-read for not only Bellairs fans, but any fan of the Gothic mystery genre.
