Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown

The Grim Blogger reported earlier this week that a clip for an upcoming H.P. Lovecraft documentary is making the rounds online.

A new clip for the upcoming H.P. Lovecraft documentary, "Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown," was recently uploaded to Youtube. Produced by William Janczewski, James Myers, and Frank Woodward of the Wyrd Production Company, the film has lined up an impressive array of experts. Probably the best interviewees, in fact, since "The Eldritch Influence: The Life, Vision, and Phenomenon of H.P. Lovecraft" appeared in 2005. Among others, Neil Gaiman, Ramsey Campbell, Peter Straub, John Carpenter, Stuart Gordon, and Guillermo del Toro are set to make appearances. Scholars S.T. Joshi and Robert M. Price will also discuss elements of Lovecraft's life and cosmic literary themes. No release date for this one yet, but presumably sometime in 2008. The documentary's myspace website linked above contains several other short previews.
