Something About Cotton Balls

From our "not what we thought it was" file.

We’ve crossed paths electronically with the book Cotton Balls by Florence Zimmerman (and not the one you're thinking of, either) over the years:
This is a true story about the Jim Crow Laws of the south and the effect they had on a young girl
The book appears to have been published originally in Jan. 2012 by a woman with the same name as the Bellairs character, Florence Zimmermann. What's an N between friends?
Florence Zimmerman was born in Virginia and grew up in the rural area of Bennettsville, South Carolina. She moved to Brooklyn, New York, at the age of seventeen where she remained for thirty seven years. She now resides in Florence, South Carolina.
I'm curious if anyone is familiar with the book and can offer up a review?
