Something About National Name Your Car Day

Plymouth Cranbrook

The suspension is killing me.

As if things couldn’t get any stranger today we’re told it is also National Name Your Car Day. I’ve known people to name all sorts of things, be it cars or appliances or porcelain pigs or anything where pareidolia is prevalent. Have you named your car? How did you came upon the name? Based on color (e.g. Reddy or Goldie)? Based on license plate numbers? Something else?

Rose Rite Pottinger named Mrs. Zimmermann’s Plymouth Cranbrook Bessie while the two ventured into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Bessie was green then but after a quick jaunt into Pennsylvania Mrs. Z decided upon a new color. Purple. It was about time, I'd wager.
